FUTURE HOME OF OUR
GIRL'S ADOLESCENT CENTER
COMING SOON !!!!!
Teen Challenge is searching for the site of our future Girl's Adolescent Center. If you have land or a building you wish to donate (100% tax deductible) to Teen Challenge, please contact Dr. Randy Rowe or Dana Rowe; or call the Administration Office at (408) 583-2200.
Teen Challenge is in the process of expanding its program to meet the increasing needs of our youth. We want to open an adolescent center for girls between the ages of 12-18 that will rescue, rebuild and revive the lives of homeless teens from prostitution, drugs, gangs and street life.
Statistics indicated that:
-
1.3 million children live on the streets.
-
1 in 7 of 10-18 year olds will runaway from home.
-
48% turn within 3 days to survival by sex, drug sales and use, or theft. (National Runaway Switchboard statistics, 2000).
-
Programs and alternatives for these at-risk youth are limited.
Recognizing that these youth are one of our greatest assets and our future, we are dedicated to changing the lives of these troubled youth, but recognize that we cant do it alone.
Teen Challenge wants to provide a program structured similarly to our adult programs, yet tailored to the unique needs of these desperate youth. It is projected that start-up costs for the Adolescent Center will be $1,500,000 - $2,500,000 for the facility to house these youth, and $2,500 per month per student. Students who enter the current programs come to us with limited or no funds and live in the program for a minimum of one-year.
If you are interested in helping us change the lives of these desperate youth, mail your tax-deductible donation TODAY to be a part of this exciting opportunity. Please mail checks to Teen Challenge NorWest Cal / Nevada, PO Box 24309, San Jose, CA 95154 or donate on-line by clicking this link: Donate Online and selecting the "Runaway Girls Home."
